Walter Cronkite- Journalism
Walter Cronkite, profound journalist and news anchor, made his start on CBS in the early 1960s and went on until the late 1980s. Keeping his word and promise, many Americans depended on Cronkite as a reliable source for information. Inspiration came to Cronkite after he read a magazine article about a foreign correspondent.
Cronkite for many years made an impact on the news and had many dedicated and loving fans throughout the country. He was known for his nightly sign off "and that's the way it is." Cronkite became the voice of reason during the Vietnam and Watergate eras.
After retiring, Cronkite went on to host multiple tv shows and even landed his own short series on CBS and the discovery channel. Cronkite's work has gone on to influence multiple journalists and those that are inspiring journalists.
